KMT House

One of the first spaces of its kind in Cairo, KMT House is a co-working space dedicated to urban tech in Africa and the Middle East. Assisting founder Mohamed Helmy from the space's conception, I produced a brand identity and marketing collateral, allowing the space to attract funding and partners.

Alongside branding KMT House, I produced a range of content for Mr. Helmy's other project, online news platform Progrss. You will find some examples of these further down the page.

Online Presence

To announce KMT's founding, I was tasked with creating a WordPress site that conveyed what the space aimed to do. Alongside designing and managing the site, I created a set of bespoke icons to help visualise what was being planned.

Alongside the website, I created animations and static imagery which promoted the launch on social media. These were intended to be playful and open-ended, encouraging people to imagine what the space could be.

Events

An aim of KMT House was to provide a hub for events where people could gather and exchange ideas. These events also formed a crucial part of the business model, generating revenue which could be reinvested in the space.

Progrss

An online news platform based in Cairo, Progrss aims to take a positive look at the developments in urban design and technology. I worked with the founder, Mohamed Helmy, to produce infographics for their website, as well as campaigns to be run on social media and other web platforms.

Animated infographics were in high demand at Progrss, used mainly to accompany written articles on the website, but also shared on other news platforms and social media.

To reach a broader audience and diversify its content, Progrss requested regular animations, on topics relevant to upcoming articles. Shown here is a selection of these videos, illustrating how the style developed over time.
